Join the Region of Waterloo as a Museum Experience Specialist dedicated to delivering impactful programming. This temporary full-time role focuses on visitor-centered experiences and community engagement.
You will serve as a key member of the Programming Department, facilitating educational events and public tours that reflect diverse community narratives. This position requires effective communication skills and a passion for history to inspire curiosity among a variety of audiences. Your role will help bring meaningful stories and experiences to life through innovative programs.
Key Responsibilities: • Present educational programs to audiences • Assist in daily operational tasks and clean-up • Coordinate training for volunteers and students • Engage in promotional activities for museum events • Foster respectful, inclusive environments for learning
Requirements: • Degree/diploma in history, art, or theater • At least 2 years of related experience • Proven ability to work collaboratively • Knowledge of equity and inclusion principles • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
