This full-time, permanent Solutions Engineer role in Canada focuses on project management, solution design, and client engagement in the solar sector. The role supports product development, technical coordination, and market adaptation, with a strong emphasis on engineering principles, data analysis, and collaboration with global teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review engineering drawings, including CAD designs and system layouts
  • Support product certification processes (e.g., cETL) by coordinating technical documentation and compliance requirements
  • Translate client requirements into technical engineering specifications for product/system design
  • Design and evaluate engineering solutions in accordance with project specifications, codes, and industry standards
  • Collaborate with third-party engineering firms for electrical grounding validation, testing, and certification
  • Support pre-sales technical discussions with clients by clarifying system performance and integration requirements
  • Coordinate engineering deliverables between internal design teams and external consultants
  • Participate in technical meetings to ensure compliance with project engineering standards
  • Track engineering progress and ensure design outputs meet technical requirements
  • Assist in product development and improvement by contributing engineering insights and testing feedback
  • Ensure compliance with applicable electrical standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Prepare engineering reports, calculations, and technical documentation for project execution

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Education: Master's or Bachelor degree Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Engineering
  • Experience: 2+ years Solar Industry or related experience
  • Skills:
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills with a proven track record closing high-value deals.
  • Skilled in developing and executing strategic plans, adaptable to market changes.
  • Proficiency in project management tools.
  • Work hours flexibility:
  • The role may require attending occasional meetings with the AU team outside of standard working hours, depending on business needs.
  • Travel:
  • Ability to travel domestic/internationally as required to meet clients and attend industry events.
