The Financial Solutions Associate provides proactive, milestone‑based financial guidance and general investment advice to members without an assigned portfolio. This sales‑driven role supports business growth by delivering goal‑based advisory, building strong member relationships, and uncovering opportunities that align with key financial milestones such as saving, debt management, early investing, and future planning. The Associate offers holistic guidance on savings accounts, GICs, term deposits, and registered/non-registered products, and ensures timely referrals to licensed specialists or planners when needed.
This role is based out of our Lynn Valley branch in North Vancouver.
Whatyou’lldo:
Holistic Financial & Investment Guidance (Non-Licensed)
Conduct comprehensive discovery conversations to understand member goals, priorities, and financial milestones.
Provide general investment education and guidance on savings products, including RRSP, TFSA, RESP, term deposits, GICs, and basic investment concepts.
Support members with budgeting strategies, emergency savings planning, and debt reduction approaches.
Promote financial literacy and empower members to make informed decisions about their financial future.
Identify when member needs require licensed advice and provide appropriate referrals where required.
Lending & Credit Support
Assist members with credit-related needs, including mortgages, loans, lines of credit, and credit optimization strategies.
Guide members through major credit milestones such as homeownership, refinancing, or debt restructuring.
Identify early-stage business or rental financing opportunities and provide appropriate referrals where required.
Ensure all lending activities comply with internal standards, regulatory requirements, and risk management guidelines.
Member Experience & Engagement
Deliver exceptional service aligned with a holistic and enhanced member experience.
Conduct proactive follow-ups to help members stay on track toward achieving financial goals.
Document all interactions, opportunities, and coaching notes accurately in the CRM system for effective member engagement activities.
Support digital onboarding and encourage members to use the digital financial tools for convenience and empowerment.
Work closely with Financial Solutions Specialists to ensure seamless handoffs for licensed investment conversations.
Partner with appropriate teams for complex or holistic planning needs requiring advanced expertise.
Collaborate with branch teams to support the full member journey and provide a consistent experience.
Participate in team learning sessions, coaching programs, and continuous improvement initiatives for advisory practices.
Post-secondary education in Finance, Business, or related field preferred.
2–4 years of experience in advisory or retail financial services.
Strong understanding of investment principles and registered products.
Excellent relationship management and member engagement skills, with a track record of delivering exceptional service.
Excellent communication and coaching skills
Comfortable using CRM and supporting digital adoption.
Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
