Reporting to Partners and Managers, you will be responsible for:

Compliancereview of tax returns for individuals, corporations, trusts, andpartnerships, and the related foreign reporting requirements

Participate in tax planning engagements and the preparation of technical tax memos

Prepareinstruction letters for the execution of corporate reorganizations,estate & post-mortem tax planning, business succession planning, andthe purchase & sale of a business

Conducting tax research and interpreting tax legislation and proposed legislative changes

Providingtechnical expertise as an internal resource to staff who need taxsupport on their client files or on specific questions from theirclients

Preparingclient correspondence, including; reports & analysis, discussion oftechnical issues and recommendations, and attending client meetingswhere appropriate

Providing assistance to other offices of the Firm, as required, and collaborating with other service lines across the firm

Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

Graduate of a University Accounting Program, or equivalent

Pursuing a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) Designation

2 years of experience in a public accounting firm

Willingness to enroll, or enrolled, in the CICA In-Depth Tax Course

2-3 years of work experience with Canadian Income Taxation
