What You’ll Do

As a Technical Sales Specialist at Vention you play a pivotal role in helping businesses seize the incredible opportunities around industrial automation and business transformation. Our technical solutions help our customers address the realities of labor shortages, reshoring, or upskilling their employees. Our Account Executives are supported by Integration Coaches, Application Engineers, and Sales Leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and solicit potential clients (inbound and outbound leads) for our automation solutions, building pipeline and achieving quotas.
  • Focus on acquiring new first-time customers and developing existing business opportunities for long-term growth.
  • Lead the technical sales process with prospective customers from initial discovery to close and beyond (product demonstrations, negotiations, qualification).
  • Assess clients’ technical needs and work/communicate closely with Application Engineers to manage the development of projects using our 3D MachineBuilder design tool and MachineLogic simulation tool.
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop new strategies to grow the sales pipeline and consistently meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.

What You Bring To The Table

  • A university degree in Engineering OR 2+ years of proven experience in technical sales (industrial automation or robotics) is required to properly understand how our technical solutions work.
  • A deep interest in engineering topics and a genuine curiosity to explore how things work.
  • Experience with sales tools such as Gong, ZoomInfo, SalesLoft, Salesforce, or Seismic is considered an asset.
  • Highly competitive, passionate about customer success, and comfortable presenting technical solutions to clients.
  • Fluency in French (spoken and written) is required.
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written) is required. English is required to fluently communicate, conduct discovery calls, negotiate, and provide ongoing support to our English-speaking client base and prospects located outside of Quebec.A curiosity to learn, a collaborative mindset, and a drive to contribute to something meaningful
