This full-time associate position suits a civil litigation lawyer, preferably with three or more years of experience. You will serve individuals and small to medium-sized businesses across real estate disputes, business disputes, defamation, and debt collection. Key Responsibilities:
- Carry civil litigation files independently from day to day
- Keep clients informed about progress and next steps
- Complete timely steps across assigned litigation files
- Draft pleadings and correspondence for active matters
- Attend motions, applications, and trials
Requirements:
- Three or more years of legal experience preferred
- Experience as a civil litigation lawyer
- Strong legal writing and communication skills
- Self-starter who works effectively without supervision
- Reliable ability to work in person in Toronto
