As a Kubernetes/DevOps Engineer, you will work on one of the world's largest social media platforms which deals with a few petabytes of data coming to the system daily. You will contribute as part of R&D self-organized team working in a challenging, innovative environment for our client. Your role
Obtains tasks from the project lead or Team Lead (TL), prepares functional and design specifications, and approves them with all stakeholders. Provides estimations, agrees task duration with the manager and contributes to project plan of assigned area. Updating and optimizing local and metadata models and responsible for resolving crisis situations within his/her AOR. Understand the business drivers and analytical use-cases and translate these to data products. Initiates and conducts code reviews, creates code standards, conventions, and guidelines. Suggest technical and functional improvements to add value to the product. Your skills and experience
Over 5+ years of experience as a Kubernetes/DevOps Engineer specializing in building and operating large-scale, high performance distributed systems backed by a university degree in Computer Science or a related field. Strong experience with Kubernetes and batch schedulers (e.g., Volcano, Kueue) for orchestrating large-scale machine learning workloads. Solid understanding of distributed systems, containerization, and cloud-native architectures. Hands-on experience managing workloads on Kubernetes clusters such as AWS EKS. Proven track record working on infrastructure migrations. Proficiency in Python and Golang. Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Helm). Background in observability and monitoring for GPU clusters (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana). Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: CAD 62,874 to CAD 147,504 Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law. The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction. These may include, but are not limited to: Geographic location, Education and qualifications, Certifications and licenses, Relevant experience and skills, Seniority and performance, Market and business consideration, Internal pay equity. It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range.
