For 25+ years, we’ve partnered with some of the most influential organizations in the world to deliver work that drives business forward.

We’re looking for a seasoned DevOps Engineer to help scale and support the infrastructure behind our portfolio of enterprise websites and applications. This is a strategic, hands-on role that requires deep technical expertise and collaboration. You'll work closely with developers, designers and senior stakeholders across a remotely distributed team.

What you offer

You have end-to-end experience orchestrating high availability infrastructure for enterprise clients. You will collaborate with a development team of highly intelligent and friendly A-players to streamline development and deployment processes. You have a strong background in automation scripting and cloud infrastructure, and will be accountable for ensuring the reliability, performance and security of our portfolio of web properties.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to provision and manage cloud infrastructure.
  • Configure, optimize, manage, and maintain multi-cloud infrastructure across platforms such as AWS, Azure, and DigitalOcean.
  • Ensure high availability, scalability, performance, and security of systems using automation and cloud-native best practices.
  • Monitor resource utilization, configure alerts and implement auto-scaling where necessary.
  • Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, building, and deployment using tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins.
  • Containerize applications and manage container orchestration where appropriate.
  • Manage version control workflows with Git, ensuring effective branching strategies, code reviews, and merge pipelines.
  • Support development team in discovering and integrating AI-powered tools and services to improve workflows, code quality, automation, or end-user experiences.
  • Implement security best practices for cloud resources and applications, including access control, encryption, and vulnerability assessments.
  • Configure, manage and maintain monitoring and logging solutions to track the performance and health of applications and infrastructure.
  • Assist in incident response, root cause analysis, and post-mortem reviews to improve system resilience.
  • Support disaster recovery and backup strategies.
  • Monitor and optimize cloud spend with cost controls and resource optimization strategies.
  • Interpret client and internal project requirements to architect and deliver appropriate technical solutions.
  • Proactively collaborate with developers, designers and writers to continuously improve the developer experience and developer operations.
  • This role may require occasional off-hours and weekend work for system maintenance and incident response.
  • We are committed to a remote-first approach, and local development is discouraged in favor of cloud-based development environments.

Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.
  • Experience with WordPress as a CMS backend.
  • Familiarity with Vue.js, Nuxt.js, React.js, and Next.js.
  • Knowledge of serverless computing and microservices architecture.
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms like Azure, Digital Ocean, AWS and GCP.
  • Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows or Azure Devops pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of networking, DNS, load balancing, firewalls, and CDNs.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g. Grafana, Datadog, New Relic).
  • Knowledge of security best practices and compliance.
  • Working knowledge of cloud cost optimization, billing analysis, and cost forecasting.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Awareness of compliance standards (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR) and security certifications (bonus).
