The Corporation of the Town of Tecumseh is accepting resumes for the position of Rink Monitor / Recreation Programmer in the Community & Recreation Services Department.
Job Summary Reporting to the Supervisor Recreation Programs & Events Rink Monitor / Recreation Programmer is responsible for the delivery of quality recreation program instruction, on-ice skate monitoring during public skate, as well as tracking public skating admission.
Qualifications and Requirements Applicants must meet the following qualifications and requirements:
Completed Ontario Secondary School Grade 10 education or Ontario Ministry of Education equivalency.
Candidates must have three (3) months experience working in the sports/recreation field along with a minimum of one (1) year experience ice skating.
The preferred candidate will have experience in teaching Art, Sports, Dance, Fitness, Yoga, Zumba, Spin, Piano and Guitar instruction.
Candidates with experience in Day Camp environment and bilingualism (French and English) would be considered an asset.
In addition, candidates must be able to work in a team environment, have good time management skills and be reliable to work under minimal supervision.
Preference will be given to qualified candidates who possess or willing to obtain First Aid/CPR and Defibrillator certification and High Five Principles of Child Development training.
