We are looking for a Senior Author Trainer & Manager to lead training strategy, champion pedagogical excellence, and drive accessibility across our authoring community.
This is a high-impact role that blends instructional design, people management, and cross-functional collaboration — ideal for someone who is equally comfortable facilitating a workshop, working closely with the prototyping team, and influencing product priorities in a leadership meeting.
Training & Continuing Development Plan, facilitate, and continuously improve Author Workshops and a multi-tiered training curriculum (L1–5) for new authors and Content Technology Developers (CTDs)
Manage the transition to a new authoring environment, including managing communication and roll out, conducting training, and updating training and resource documentation
Coordinate and conduct training on how to use AI across Courseware as needed
Coordinate and conduct specialized training programs including Rev1 training, Train-the-Trainer series, alt text training, and assessments training
champion AI adoption across the team by facilitating training on new tools and AI workflows, driving awareness, building confidence, and ensuring the full team is actively engaged with emerging technologies
Schedule and facilitate peer reviews across disciplines, oversee the book club program, and write and manage the Tuesday Tips series
Advise authors and CTDs on pedagogy implementation and answer questions as they arise
Act as the primary point of contact for author questions related to AI integration in content development
Accessibility Own and advance the organization's content accessibility program, including tracking outstanding alt text, coordinating CTD and SME alt text review and writing, and identifying and remediating non-alt text accessibility gaps across titles
Respond to content-related customer questions about accessibility
New Features & Tools Own and maintain the Airtable database, including prioritize, automations, and ongoing updates
participate in bi-weekly Content/Product meetings to inform product roadmap decisions
Contribute to ongoing process improvement efforts
Represent the Training and Authoring function at leadership meetings when needed
Proven experience in instructional design, author training, or a similar learning & development role, ideally within a publishing or content technology environment
Strong people management skills with experience leading and developing direct reports
Deep familiarity with accessibility standards and a genuine commitment to inclusive content practices
Comfort with tools like Airtable and the ability to manage data systems independently
