Part-time Psychiatrist

Join CMHA York Region as a part-time psychiatrist dedicated to mental health and recovery services. Provide critical assessments and treatment plans both in-person and remotely. In this role, you will focus on delivering quality psychiatric services as part of a collaborative team. This part-time opportunity (10-14 hours per week) allows for flexible working environments, essential for reaching clients effectively. Key Responsibilities

¢ Conduct detailed psychiatric assessments for diverse clients â€
¢ Coordinate care with nursing and support staff â€
¢ Prescribe treatments and monitor therapeutic responses â€
¢ Ensure documentation of client records is up to date â€
¢ Engage with clients during hospital admissions when necessary

Requirements:

¢ Licensed with the College of Physicians and Surgeons in Ontario â€
¢ Doctoral degree is essential â€
¢ Experience with Assertive Community Treatment Teams â€
¢ Strong communication and interpersonal skills â€
