Temporary Early Childhood Educator Position

The City of Thunder Bay is hiring an Early Childhood Educator II in Ogden for a full-time role focused on child care excellence. Foster holistic development through planned activities. As an Early Childhood Educator II, you'll implement learning activities while ensuring the child care center is well-equipped and orderly. This position also involves participation in parent and staff meetings, new staff orientations, and various community events. • Facilitate engaging and developmentally appropriate learning activities
• Maintain a clean, organized, and equipped center
• Participate in meetings with staff and parents
• Assist in orientation for new employees and students
• Complete necessary forms for statistical requirements

Requirements:

• Diploma in early childhood education or equivalent
• Knowledge of Ontario Child Care and Early Years Act
• Demonstrated effective communication skills
• Certification in First Aid and Safe Food Handling
• Completion of Police Vulnerable Sector Check
