The Program Consultant, Dealer Training and Development at Canadian Tire prepares new Dealers for their career as a Canadian Tire Associate Dealer. Reporting to the Manager of Dealer Training & Development, this role is accountable to support end-to-end training program delivery, including planning, coordination, progress tracking, and direct coaching of Training Dealers.
Responsibilities
- Support coordination of multi-phase training plans including planning, coordination, and progress tracking
- Maintain and manage training content for assigned curriculum of the Dealer Training Program
- Develop and maintain a network of Subject Matter Experts and key business contacts, including Canadian Tire store owners, field, and Home Office teams
- Analyze results to identify performance gaps and adjust training as required
- Coach and provide ongoing feedback to Trainees on overall training program performance
- Assess training progress and performance, addressing any training adjustments required
- Identify and effectively communicate any performance or planning risks (e.g., trainee readiness, SME availability)
- Be an active contributor in developing and implementing a vision for the future of the Dealer Training Program
Qualifications
- Canadian Tire Retail Store experience (Store Operations, Ordering or Automotive) is an asset
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Copilot)
- Bilingual (English and French) is an asset
- Exceptional communication skills with facilitation and presentation experience
- Strong customer focus with emphasis on building and sustaining relationships
- Self-starter who works well with minimal supervision and autonomously within a team environment
- Ability to balance competing priorities to deliver results
- Knowledge of Instructional Design fundamentals (adult learning principles, blended learning) is an asset
Compensation
Broadband Salary Range: $53,000 – $88,000 CAD Annual. Typical hiring range: $70,000 – $80,000 CAD Annual.
Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Copilot); exceptional communication and facilitation skills; experience in training coordination or coaching; knowledge of instructional design and adult learning principles considered an asset; bilingual English/French considered an asset
