As an Aircraft Technician (Apprentice) under the supervision of the Operations Supervisor, you will report to the AME Lead for performance of work, in accordance with the approved policies and procedures. Essential Functions: Your duties include but are not limited to:- Assuming responsibility for work as indicated by your signature/stamp authority.
- Performing duties such as repair, modification and maintenance of aircraft in accordance with approved maintenance procedures.
- Utilizing certified/calibrated standard measuring and test equipment.
- Reporting any un-airworthy conditions discovered.
- Marshalling, fueling and towing aircraft
- Supporting aircraft operations with GSE: operating, refueling , moving and troubleshooting GSE (if required)
- Familiarization with L3 MAS Policies and Processes
- Familiarization with the MPM/ MCD and related processes.
- Participating in the Safety Management System Program Committee on Aircraft, if requested.
- Maintaining a clean work area
- Other duties as assigned by your supervisor;
- Graduation from an accredited post-secondary institution in aircraft maintenance repair or a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in an equivalent aircraft maintenance role.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
- Possess a Valid Driver’s license in good standing
- Able to obtain and maintain an Ottawa International Airport Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC)
- Able to obtain and maintain an Ottawa International Airport Airside Vehicle Operator Permit (AVOP)
- Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2/NATO Secret security clearance;
- Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
