  • Support the development of the knowledge and skills Sun Life advisors need to provide effective financial planning to clients
  • Lead practical, one-on-one virtual sessions focused on applying financial planning concepts in real-world situations
  • Organize regional training sessions and seminars for Sun Life advisors
  • Update content to reflect industry changes and best practices
  • Identify and participate in implementing initiatives, programs, and processes designed to enhance advisors’ financial planning capabilities
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to develop client-facing materials
  • Contribute to the development of financial strategies for risk management, retirement planning, tax planning, and estate planning
  • Partner with Sun Life advisors and field leaders through virtual and in-person sessions

Requirements



  • The Financial Planner designation from the Institut de planification financière (IPF) is required
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in financial planning or a related field
  • In-depth understanding of financial planning principles and practices
  • Proficiency with financial planning tools, including Conquest software
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven facilitation and presentation skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and independently
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to explain complex financial concepts in simple terms
  • Time management and organizational skills to manage multiple clients
  • Familiarity with digital tools for virtual meetings and remote collaboration, such as Microsoft Teams
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team with other financial professionals
  • Bilingualism in French and English, both spoken and written, is required
