Northern Lights College seeks a university instructor for a sessional position in Gender Studies. Deliver engaging content through videoconference and support diverse student learning. The term runs from September to December 2026, requiring approximately 96 hours of teaching. Ideal candidates hold a Master's Degree in Philosophy and have a background in logic and reasoning. Effective communication and collaboration skills are crucial for motivating students and enhancing their learning experience. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct WGST 100 classes on Mondays and Wednesdays
- Facilitate engaging discussions on gender issues
- Evaluate and provide feedback on student assignments
- Collaborate with fellow instructors to improve course delivery
- Support the learning needs of a culturally diverse classroom
- Master’s Degree in Philosophy required
- Demonstrated expertise in logic and reasoning
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to instruct diverse groups, including Indigenous students
- Previous teaching experience in post-secondary settings
