Cambridgeshire Assistant Psychologist in REDS

Enhance mental health services with Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust as an Assistant Psychologist in the REDS program. Focus on client engagement and therapeutic group facilitation. As a Band 5 (Senior) Assistant Psychologist, you will contribute to the REDS service by assisting in the onboarding of patients and helping to run psycho-educational groups. Your role is crucial in managing emotional situations and providing effective feedback to support service improvements. This client-facing position requires strong organizational skills and a comforting presence. Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate therapeutic dialectical behaviour skills sessions
• Conduct welcome assessments for new patients
• Monitor and evaluate service data
• Participate in multidisciplinary team collaboration
• Deliver training and advice to other staff

Requirements:

• Relevant experience in a mental health context
• Familiarity with dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT) preferred
• Strong skills in empathy and assertiveness
