Room Attendant

Job Responsibilities

• Consistently offer welcoming, friendly and warm service to external and internal guests.
• Provide intuitive service, engaging with external and internal guests and anticipating their needs.
• Foster positive cross‑departmental relationships to create a seamless experience.
• Support company and hotel policies and procedures, including EES, Health and Safety, and Voice of Guest initiatives.
• Clean and sanitize all assigned guestrooms and public spaces, including: dusting, making beds, soiled linen/garbage removal, vacuuming, bathroom cleaning and disinfecting, cleaning furniture, window cleaning, replenishing rooms with supplies.
• Follow detailed cleaning standards for both stayover and vacant rooms as set through ALL Safe – Stay Well, Leading Quality Assurance and Accor’s brand standards.
• Consistently update and record all cleaned rooms in provided mobile devices.
• Report maintenance needs in guest rooms, service areas and public spaces.
• Communicate specific guest requests or concerns with a Housekeeping leader.
• Participate in deep cleaning of rooms as required.
• Return and properly tag all lost and found articles in the Housekeeping Office.
• Work safely to prevent injury.
• Perform other related duties and follow hotel standards as assigned or applicable.
• Will work weekends, holidays and shift work as scheduled.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping experience in a luxury hotel is an asset.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal and problem‑solving abilities.
• Highly responsible and reliable.
• Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision.
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
• Physical aspects of the position include constant standing and walking throughout the shift, frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs, constant kneeling, pushing, pulling and lifting, frequent ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps, and standing for the entirety of an 8‑hour shift.
