Insight Global is seeking experienced Press Brake Operators to join a growing manufacturing team in Burlington, Ontario. Our clients a leading manufacturer of elevator components and is currently expanding production capacity due to significant business growth and long-term project demand.

This individual will play a critical role within the fabrication department, operating press brake machinery to produce high-quality custom metal components while ensuring products meet precise engineering specifications. The ideal candidate will be an experienced operator who can work independently, maintain a strong quality focus, and contribute positively to a collaborative team environment.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Operate and set up press brake machinery to bend and form metal components according to engineering drawings and specifications
  • Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and work orders
  • Perform first-piece, in-process, and final quality inspections to ensure accuracy and compliance with tolerances
  • Utilize calibrated measuring tools including calipers, tape measures, angle gauges, and other precision instruments
  • Complete tooling changes and machine adjustments as required
  • Maintain quality standards and identify defects or discrepancies before products move to downstream manufacturing processes
  • Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout requirements
  • Support preventative maintenance initiatives and proper machine upkeep
  • Collaborate with supervisors, welders, assemblers, and other production personnel to meet production objectives
  • Contribute ideas for process improvements, efficiencies, and best practices within the fabrication department

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience operating press brake machinery in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment
  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings
  • Experience working within precision metal fabrication environments
  • Ability to perform measurements, quality inspections, and self-verification of completed work
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments and inspection tools
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing quality standards and tolerances
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of workplace safety procedures, including lockout/tagout practices
  • Strong attendance record and commitment to workplace reliability

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience operating Amada press brake equipment
  • Experience contributing to preventative maintenance programs
  • Experience in custom fabrication or job-shop manufacturing environments
  • Leadership or mentoring experience within a manufacturing setting
  • Process improvement or continuous improvement experience

We are hiring for 2 different shifts:

Days (7:30 AM - 4:00 PM) or Afternoons (4:00 PM - 12:00 AM)

Pay Transparency:

The expected hour rate for this position falls between $34.00 - $40.00/hour + $1.00/hour shift premium for afternoons
