As a Personal Lines Underwriting Assistant , you will help drive the growth and profitability of SPG Canada. You will have the opportunity to build meaningful broker relationships while developing your skills and growing your career in the insurance industry. This is an in-office position based in our Langley, BC or Salmon Arm, BC offices , with the potential to transition to a hybrid arrangement upon successful completion of the probationary period. Support Managers and Underwriters with general administrative tasks Preparing Certificates of Insurance Edit & formatting of documents using a variety of software & programs Maintain and innovate administrative workflow procedures to increase efficiency Communicate internally with other departments via e-mail and telephone 1-2 years of experience with transferrable skills in Customer service, administration, and data entry ~ Existing insurance is considered a strong asset ~ A valid broker license (level 1 or 2) is considered a strong asset ~ Are proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Word ~ Willing to take insurance courses for continued growth and industry knowledge ~ Are familiar with the basic legal structures in Canada By joining SPG Canada, you’ll become part of a rapidly growing company focused on providing innovative insurance solutions to support independent brokers in Canada.
