Amgen is seeking a Scientist in Biological Data Systems and Machine Learning to make a significant impact on patient care. This role merges research, data systems, and ML for innovative solutions. As part of the Digital Discovery team, you will facilitate a deep integration of scientific data and machine learning. In this role, you'll define data architectures, optimize workflows, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline our processes. We're looking for an individual passionate about both biological research and data science. Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure robust data lineage and interoperability
- Identify and curate proprietary legacy datasets
- Translate scientific workflows into digital formats
- Support the development of ML models and analysis tools
- Drive the adoption of data systems best practices
- PhD in Biology, Bioengineering, or related field
- Bachelor’s degree + 5+ years of experience
- Expertise with large-scale data and ETL
- Proficiency in Python and data modeling
- Experience in cross-functional work environments
