Occupational Health Safety Advisor Role

Take on a crucial role at Dexterra Group as an Occupational Health Safety Advisor based in Vancouver, British Columbia. Drive the implementation of safety initiatives across transit operations. This full-time position involves engaging with teams to ensure adherence to health and safety regulations while enhancing employee safety culture. You will work with leadership and union representatives to support compliance and promote best practice initiatives. Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and measure safety program performance
• Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments
• Deliver training and communicate HSEQ expectations
• Support incident investigations and corrective actions
• Liaise with stakeholders to promote workplace safety

Requirements:

• Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field
• At least five years of relevant HSE experience
• Valid driver’s license and travel ability
• Strong knowledge of safety legislation and practices
• Experience in union-based environments essential
