Become a key team member at the Halifax Regional Centre for Education as an Experienced Carpenter. This position focuses on maintenance, renovations, and energy management practices.
As a Carpenter associated with NSUPE Local 2, your role encompasses critical tasks that ensure the effective operation of HRCE's Physical Plants. You will be responsible for carpentry-related installations, repairs, and preventive maintenance across all buildings. Your physical capability and troubleshooting skills will play a vital role in sustaining operational efficiency. Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will receive direction from maintenance supervisors during your shifts.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform installations and repairs on building structures
• Handle preventive maintenance and upgrade projects
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues impacting operations
• Engage with maintenance supervisors for project execution
• Commit to energy-efficient carpentry practices
Requirements:
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Qualified Carpenter certification recognized by the province
• A minimum of 5 years of carpentry experience
• Nova Scotia driver's license with good record
• Strong physical aptitude for manual tasks Contribute your carpentry expertise to HRCE and enhance our educational environment.
