Windows Performance Engineer

Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior Windows Engineer to develop enterprise Windows standards, automation frameworks, and technical solutions within a financial services environment. This position will also serve as a Level 3 escalation point for complex Windows infrastructure issues.

Responsibilities

• Develop Windows Server infrastructure standards, security baselines, and best practices.
• Create advanced PowerShell scripts and Ansible playbooks for Windows automation.
• Design reusable OS deployment and configuration frameworks.
• Provide Level 3 troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and technical support.
• Establish patching, security hardening, and compliance standards.
• Support Windows clustering, SAN storage, virtualization, and related infrastructure.
• Collaborate with Build, Operations, Security, Network, and Application teams.
• Create technical documentation and mentor junior technical staff.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 experience.
• 3+ years of IT experience in the financial services industry.
• Expert-level PowerShell and advanced Ansible skills.
• Strong experience with Group Policy (GPO) administration and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Windows Server failover clustering, including SQL Server clusters.
• Hands‑on knowledge of SAN storage in physical and virtual environments.
• Experience with VMware vSphere, Hyper‑V, or similar virtualization platforms.
• Knowledge of Windows security, hardening, SOX, PCI‑DSS, and change management.
• Experience providing Level 3 infrastructure support.
• Cloud, container, Microsoft certification, and enterprise automation platform experience are preferred.
