High Voltage Cable Engineering Role

Be an integral part of Stantec’s mission as a High Voltage Cable Engineer. Work from Winnipeg or remotely, focusing on innovative solutions for high voltage cables in electric grids. Stantec is looking for a skilled High Voltage Cable Engineer to handle complex design and installation duties. You will conduct feasibility studies, create installation designs, and prepare rigorous specifications for submarine and land cables. A background in evaluating cable testing and installation plans is essential. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform cable design calculations and feasibility studies
• Draft specifications for cable manufacturing and testing
• Assess bid documents and oversee cable testing
• Witness cable installation activities and support the process
• Join business development efforts to boost cable engineering offerings

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; licensed PE preferred
• 3–7 years of relevant high voltage cable engineering experience
• Competence in cable monitoring and fault locating
• Awareness of international cable standards
• Experience with installation techniques for land and submarine cables
