Newcomer Services Coordinator at SEA

Lead newcomer integration as a SWIS Coordinator with Southeast Advocates Inc. in Estevan. Focus on providing settlement services, cultural orientation, and community engagement for youth and families. Southeast Advocates Inc. is seeking a dynamic SWIS Coordinator to implement school-based services for newcomer youth. In this role, you will conduct needs assessments, facilitate programming, and work closely with school staff on intercultural initiatives. Your efforts will also include creating opportunities for community involvement and reporting on program success. Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and develop personalized settlement plans
• Offer orientations for newcomer families and students
• Facilitate community-based activities that promote integration
• Support school staff in anti-racism training and awareness
• Prepare and contribute to quarterly reporting for funders

Requirements:

• Degree in social work, education, or related field
• Excellent cross-cultural communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and case management systems
• Hold a valid SK Class 5 license with vehicle access
• Complete a vulnerable sector criminal record check
