About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Automotive Painter to join their collision repair center in Kimberley . You will be responsible for preparing vehicle surfaces and applying paint finishes to achieve factory-quality results. This role requires precision, a keen eye for color matching, and a thorough understanding of painting techniques and safety procedures. The ideal candidate takes pride in producing high-quality finishes that restore vehicles to their original appearance, contributing to the overall quality of repairs performed in Kimberley .

Key Responsibilities

• 
  
• Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking.
  
• Mix paints to match vehicle colors accurately, using color-matching systems and formulas.
  
• Apply primers, base coats, and clear coats using spray guns and other painting equipment.
  
• Perform touch-ups and repairs on existing paintwork as needed.
  
• Inspect finished paintwork for defects and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  
• Maintain a clean and organized paint booth and ensure all safety regulations are followed.
  

Requirements

• 
  
• Proven experience as an Automotive Painter or in a similar role within the automotive repair industry.
  
• Solid understanding of paint preparation, mixing, and application techniques.
  
• Proficiency in using automotive paint spray equipment and color-matching systems.
  
• Knowledge of automotive body repair and refinishing principles.
  
• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
