Qualifications:
Education & Knowledge Completion of Secondary Education or Equivalent (Asset) A valid Driver’s License A Forklift Certificate (may be obtained through employment) Skills Physical strength is required for manual material handling Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals Experience ~2 year of related experience in Material Handling, Shipping & Receiving Communication Excellent English Communication skills (oral and written) Interpersonal skills
Responsibilities:
Ship, receive and record the movement of parts, supplies, materials and stock with attention to accuracy Load and unload trucks with a telehandler Inside and outside material handling Sorts and quality controls incoming materials Handle, move, load and unload materials by hand or material handling equipment Inventory activities such as counting, weighing, sorting, packing and unpacking Operate (and inspect) material handling equipment to transport materials to and from transportation vehicles to the warehouse and yard Opening containers and crates, fill orders, assist in taking inventory and weighing and checking materials Assemble containers and crates, record contents manually and/or by computer, pack goods to be shipped and affix identifying information and shipping instructions Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages and reject damaged goods Unpack, code and route goods to appropriate storage and staging areas Maintains a clean, safe working environment for self and co-workers Consistently maintains acceptable level of productivity Clean truss surfaces and inspections as required Comfortable in a fast paced working environment
