Location: Mississauga, ON L4X 2B2 (On site)

Salary: $37.50 per hour, 44 hours per week.

Employment type: Permanent, Full time.

Shift options: Early morning, Morning, Day, Weekend, Overtime available. Starts as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

  • Clean meats to prepare for processing or cutting
  • Cut carcasses, sides and quarters
  • Prepare special cuts of meat ordered by customers
  • Cut, trim and prepare standard cuts of meat
  • Remove bones from meat
  • Weigh meats for sale
  • Supervise other butchers, meat cutters and fishmongers
  • Grind meats
  • Train meat cutters
  • Make special sausages
  • Slice cooked meats
  • Prepare special displays of meats, poultry and fish products
  • Shape, lace and tie roasts, other meats, poultry and seafood

Equipment and Machinery Experience

  • Band saw
  • Manual cutting utensil
  • Power grinder
  • Salami mixer and cooker
  • Sausage machine
  • Slicing machine

Qualifications
