Back-End Senior Java Developer- Data Analytics

Design, develop and enhance scalable backend applications and services using Java and Spring-based technologies Build and maintain APIs and microservices supporting high-volume, business-critical applications Work across solution design, development, testing, code review and production support Collaborate with developers, Business Systems Analysts, Technical Leads and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions Work with relational databases and data persistence technologies Participate in code reviews, automated testing, debugging and performance optimization Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices, development processes and delivery effectiveness Use modern development tools and explore AI-assisted engineering techniques 5+ years of professional software development experience, with strong hands-on experience developing backend applications in Java ~ Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, software design principles and common design patterns ~ Experience working with relational databases, SQL and core database concepts ~ Experience with Git-based source control and modern software development practices ~ Experience writing and maintaining automated tests and participating in code reviews ~ Experience working within Agile software delivery teams ~ Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and business stakeholders ~ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience ~ Experience building or supporting high-volume, transaction-oriented systems ~ Hands-on experience using AI-assisted software development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code or similar ~ Interest in applying AI across requirements analysis, solution design, coding, testing, debugging and code review ~ Demonstrates expertise in designing and developing scalable backend applications using Java and Spring technologies, with a strong focus on RESTful APIs and microservices. Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and apply modern software development practices, including Agile methodologies.
