Guest Services Agent

At Edmonton Inn & Conference Centre, we are looking for a friendly, professional, and guest-focused Guest Service Agent to join our Front Office team. This is a full-time position that includes a variety of shifts, including weekdays, weekends, mornings, evenings, and mid-shifts. Reporting to the Guest Services Manager, the Guest Service Agent is responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences while ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the front desk. You will welcome guests with professionalism and warmth, assist with reservations and guest inquiries, handle check-ins and check-outs accurately, and help create a positive and memorable stay for every guest. Successful candidates are adaptable, dependable, team-oriented, and passionate about hospitality. Provide exceptional customer service throughout the guest experience Handle reservations, room changes, and guest requests using the hotel PMS system Utilize up-selling techniques to maximize guest satisfaction and hotel profitability Follow all front office policies, procedures, and Nova Hotels standards Assist teammates and support overall front office operations as needed Participate as a member of the hotel Health & Safety team Perform additional duties and projects as assigned Fluent in spoken and written English High School Diploma required Post-secondary education or hospitality training is considered an asset Previous hotel or hospitality experience is considered an asset Experience using a PMS, POS, or switchboard system is an asset Excellent problem-solving and guest service abilities Strong computer and telephone skills Dependable, flexible, and able to work varied shifts Team-oriented with a willingness to support others Knowledge of the local community and attractions is considered an asset Extended periods working on a computer and telephone Guest Service Agents must be comfortable working in a fast-paced hospitality setting and handling situations with professionalism and confidence.
