Senior Recreation Program Coordinator

Make a difference at The Salvation Army as a Senior Recreation Program Coordinator. Design activities that inspire and uplift elderly residents within a collaborative team environment. This role focuses on creating and implementing diverse recreational programs under the supervision of the Activity & Volunteer Manager. You will work hand-in-hand with volunteers and staff to tailor activities that meet the unique interests of residents, fostering their involvement and well-being. Strong communication and organizational skills are critical in this position as you promote a positive atmosphere for everyone involved.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop and coordinate activities tailored to resident interests
• Collaborate effectively with staff and volunteers
• Maintain accurate program and participation records
• Involve residents in programming decisions
• Ensure adherence to safety policies at all times

Requirements:
• Degree or diploma in recreation and leisure studies
• Previous experience with seniors in a care setting
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Able to manage stress and maintain a positive demeanor
