Become a vital part of the Integrated Care Hub team in Kingston as a Peer Engagement Support Worker. Engage clients in harm reduction practices and connect them to essential community services. Reporting to the Clinical Program Manager, you will work with individuals who use substances and have serious mental health conditions. Your lived experience will help you build trust and promote client-centered care while providing support in a dynamic setting. This permanent part-time role requires a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and overnights. Key Responsibilities:
- Connect clients to health and wellness services
- Actively engage individuals to identify needs
- Support harm reduction practices in all interactions
- Ensure a respectful environment within services
- Apply personal experiences to enhance client relationships
- Post-secondary education in health or social services
- One year of relevant experience in peer support
- Lived experience with mental illness or addiction
- Certification in First Aid and CPR preferred
- Knowledge of harm reduction methods and crisis intervention
