Responsibilities:
Â
· Responsible for a variety of duties related to water & sewer trenching, ditching and varied excavation and packing tasks Â
· Reading and interpreting ground markings to ensure proper grade is followed Â
· Using an excavator to pack trenches to proper grade and depth Â
· Ability to work with trench boxes Â
· Lowering materials for piping crew Â
· Excellent communication with Foreman, Operators and Crew Members Â
· Perform daily equipment and safety maintenance checks Â
· Cleaning of heavy equipment Â
· Observe and report any hazards Â
· Ability to work as part of a team Required Experience & Additional
Requirements:
Â
· Minimum 2 years of experience as a operator is preferred Â
· Thorough understanding of construction site safety practices Â
· Must have your own transportation and valid drivers license Â
· Overtime will be required during peak construction months Â
· RSTS or CSTS Certificate is an asset
