Assistant State’s Attorney – Experienced
Are you an experienced prosecutor looking to make a meaningful impact in your community?
- The Office of the State’s Attorney for Anne Arundel County, located in Annapolis, Maryland, is seeking experienced Assistant State’s Attorneys for Circuit Court trial teams.
- Led by a career prosecutor, our office is deeply committed to seeking justice for victims of crime and supporting our team with robust resources—including Victim Advocates, Case Managers, Body-Worn Camera Paralegals, Investigators, and administrative staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, prepare, and prosecute complex criminal cases before the Circuit Court.
- Draft, respond to, and litigate suppression and other pre-trial motions.
- Represent the State of Maryland in court proceedings, including bail reviews, preliminary hearings, jury trials, VOPs, and sentencings.
- Conduct legal research to drive case strategy. Qualifications & Requirements
- Licensing: Admitted to practice law in Maryland (Maryland Bar).

Experience:
Proven jury trial and motions experience handling felony-level crimes.

Skills:
Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and commitment to ethical decision-making.
- Background Check: A comprehensive criminal background check is required. Compensation & Benefits

Salary:
$85,000 – $120,000 (commensurate with experience)
