Key Responsibilities
12+ years of hands-on experience with SAP BusinessObjects (SAP BO 4.2/4.3 or SAP BI 2025). Strong expertise in SAP BO 4.2/4.3 and SAP BI 2025. Experience in at least one SAP BO upgrade or end-to-end implementation project. Knowledge of CMS, BIAR files, Universes (UNX/UNV), Web Intelligence, and Crystal Reports. Experience with ODBC/JDBC connectivity, SSO, and LDAP integration. Hands-on experience with auditing, monitoring, and BI Platform Support Tool. Migration & Upgrade Skills Experience with SAP BO upgrades and migrations. Strong troubleshooting skills for report failures, job scheduling, and performance tuning. Plan and execute migration from SAP BO 4.2 to SAP BI 2025. Manually convert UNV to UNX using Information Design Tool (IDT). Manage BIAR exports/imports, CMS configuration, and repository migration. Start and stop BI services. Perform content and server management. Manage objects within the BO environment. Handle license management (Concurrent and Named Users). Audit the BO environment. Manage alerts and events. Execute BO version upgrade and migration activities. Work with SAP or customers for patches and hotfixes. Testing & Validation Perform regression testing for reports, universes, dashboards, and security settings. Validate data connectivity, semantic layer, and scheduled jobs. Ensure performance benchmarks are met after upgrades. Professional Attributes Good understanding of business reporting and analytics. Strong communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Team player. Education Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or equivalent. Preferred Certifications SAP Certified Application Associate (SAP BusinessObjects BI Platform / related SAP BO certification preferred).
