McDaniel is an internationally recognized and established independent oil and gas consulting firm based in Calgary. Built off of a 70-year history, our firm provides expertise and consulting services in petroleum geology and reservoir engineering, reserves estimation, technical and resource studies, carbon capture and economic evaluations (including financial reporting, financing support, acquisitions and divestitures and fair market value opinions).
McDaniel is regarded as an industry leader for its technical and business acumen with experience encompassing both domestic and international evaluations in conventional and unconventional reservoirs. Our clientele primarily consists of upstream petroleum companies, private equity, pension funds, banking institutions, midstream companies, and government agencies.
Who you are:
McDaniel is looking for an Evaluation Engineer within our International group. You will be responsible for supporting high-impact projects and developing and implementing practices that will scale and grow our practice outside of North America.
Responsibilities include:
Technical forecasting of well performance based on reservoir engineering and geological principles
Performing data analytics to support technical forecasts and informed decision-making
Conducting economic analysis of client financial statements
Significant client interaction through emails, phone calls, and meetings
Managing numerous clients and deadlines, showcasing strong time management skills
Providing advisory support for mergers, acquisitions, asset, and corporate divestitures
Evaluations and reporting of oil and gas reserves and resources
We are looking for candidates with:
0-5 years of petroleum engineering experience
Problem solving mentality and desire to understand the “why” and “how” of complex issues
Ability to work well within an integrated team
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to tailor messaging for a suite of audiences (technical and business)
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint
Ability to register with APEGA
Preference will be given to those that can speak and write Spanish fluently
Willing to work in-person from our Calgary office
