What the position entails: Join GeoVerra as a Project Coordinator, Pipeline and play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of pipeline projects across Canada. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys collaborating with project teams, managing project data, and contributing to high-quality client deliverables. The primary purpose of the Project Coordinator, Pipeline is to assist with the delivery of project data according to the instruction provided by the client, Project Manager, and Director. As a Project Coordinator, the expectation is to be able to complete projects under daily supervision. What you will do: Provide field and office support on major Pipelines projects. Required to perform Data Processing, GIS, Digital Mapping, Surveying, GPS, CAD, MicroSurvey, Excel and Civil 3D Design work. Review and mark up pipeline construction drawings, alignment sheets, facility drawings, including base maps, crossings, ownership sketches, spread sheets and access maps. Work with Field Supervisors to establish priorities and complete work duties with limited supervision. Prepare and edit plans/maps in AutoCAD/ArcGIS software. Provide processing support for Leica and Trimble products. Deliver project tracking, status and forecasting reports on time. Update project crossings lists daily. Create sketch plans to support construction activities. Update pipe log daily during pipe data collecting and verification stages. Compile, process and complete quality checks for field data. Support field crews with stakeout files and other data requirements. Use standard survey practices to efficiently draft accurate survey plans from information gathered in the field and office. Draft/check plans using the standards set out by GeoVerra What you will bring: Diploma or Degree in Geomatics preferred. 2+ years’ experience in the Geomatics industry. Knowledge of surveying, drafting, global navigation satellite systems, spatial databases, map projections, civil 3D design, control surveys, MicroSurvey, web programming, digital mapping, digital cartography, terrain modeling, ArcGIS, Word, Excel, FME, Imagery, LIDAR, WEB-MAPPING and technical communications. Competent working knowledge of current AutoCAD software; knowledge of Micorsurvey/Microstation, Trimble (TBC) & Leica Software, and CAD programming is an asset. Competent working knowledge of ArcMap and ESRI tools and able to deal with variety of GIS data formats; i.e. DEM, LiDAR data set, imagery. Ability to work effectively and competently with people at all levels in the organization; is a great team member. Ability to work without supervision; effective time management and strong organizational skills. Contribute on an on-going basis toward maintaining a safe working environment both for yourself and for those working with you or in your close vicinity. Ability to work to deadlines and see tasks through to completion. Adaptable and able to think outside the box. Ability and willingness to travel for client, project and GeoVerra requirements. Willingness to work in remote locations based on project and client needs.
