Role Overview
As Site Buyer, you will play a key role in supporting the successful
construction and development of the Lynn Lake Gold Project. Reporting to the
Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for executing procurement
activities that ensure the timely acquisition of materials, equipment, rentals,
and services required to support construction, commissioning, logistics, and
operational readiness activities.
Working closely with engineering, construction, logistics, warehouse, and
project teams, you will help drive project performance through effective
sourcing strategies, supplier management, and procurement execution.
Key Responsibilities
* Procurement Execution: Process purchase requisitions, purchase orders, amendments, and procurement documentation in accordance with company procedures.
* Strategic Sourcing: Source materials, rentals, equipment, and services required to support project construction and development activities.
* Commercial Evaluation: Issue RFQs, evaluate supplier quotations, conduct commercial analyses, and provide award recommendations.
* Supplier & Delivery Management: Expedite deliveries, monitor supplier commitments, and proactively resolve delivery and performance issues.
* Stakeholder Collaboration: Coordinate with logistics providers, warehouse personnel, contractors, and project teams to ensure procurement objectives are achieved.
* Continuous Improvement & Risk Management: Identify alternative sourcing strategies, track procurement KPIs, support compliance initiatives, and contribute to supply chain process improvements. What You Bring to the Table
* Minimum 5 years of procurement and supply chain experience with demonstrated expertise in purchasing, sourcing, and supplier management.
* Minimum 3 years supporting mining, industrial construction, EPCM, infrastructure, or major capital projects.
* Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Commerce, Logistics, or a related discipline is preferred.
* Industrial construction site buying experience is considered a significant asset.
* Experience working in remote or camp-based project environments is preferred.
* Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify innovative sourcing solutions.
* Advanced proficiency with SAP, ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and procurement analytics tools.
* Excellent organizational, communication, stakeholder management, and time-management skills.
