O’Hanlon Paving is looking for an enthusiastic, experienced Screed Operator to work seasonally in a full-time capacity, in various locations throughout Edmonton. The successful candidate must be able to align with the company's core values: Commitment, Attitude and Respect
Responsibilities:
* Conduct proper checks on equipment, operations, set up and maintenance Fuel, lubricate, clean and maintain equipment
* Ensure proper machine start up and shut down
* Operate Screed and control asphalt delivery to and placement by the Screed to mitigate mix segregation and support of screed personnel maintain required asphalt thickness and smoothness
* Utilize effective paving Skills and knowledge for asphalt mix applications on variable types of projects including parking lots, roads, and residential
* Other duties as required

Qualifications:
* Minimum 2 years of experience as a Screed Operator will be required
* Through knowledge of the safe operation of the tools and municipal road building industry
* Ability to work continuously for prolonged periods of time under pressure
* Must possess a valid class 5 driver’s license or above with an acceptable drivers abstract
* High attention to detail, strong communication skills and ability to follow directions
* Ability to work in varying weather conditions
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently with little supervision
* Willingness and ability to work extended hours and weekends
* Valid safety certifications
* This is a seasonal position and starts in spring of every year
* This position is eligible for over-time
* Some travel outside of Edmonton may be required
* Training will be provided for various activities

excellent wages and benefit eligibility after 3 months in which you may continue your benefits during the winter months (off season).
