Toronto, ON Job ID#: RQ00726 Duration: 12 Months Role Overview We are seeking two Senior Systems Testing / QA Specialists to support a large-scale healthcare data modernization initiative focused on cloud-native platforms, interoperability, and enterprise integration solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for quality assurance activities including automated UI testing, API testing, functional testing, defect management, and validation of healthcare interoperability standards. This role requires strong expertise in enterprise-scale testing, automation frameworks, API validation, and healthcare data integration.

Key Responsibilities
Analyze and understand business and technical requirements, business workflows, design documents, implementation guides, and data mapping specifications. Develop test strategies, test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts. Execute automated testing across multiple non-production environments and integrated systems. Perform testing and validation of HL7 FHIR R4 resources, including: Patient Practitioner PractitionerRole Organization Location Encounter Other related resources Validate FHIR Implementation Guide (IG) profiles, including: Profile conformance Cardinality constraints Terminology bindings Data quality requirements Validate HL7 v2 to FHIR R4 mappings, transformations, and end-to-end data flows. Analyze, design, build, implement, execute, and maintain automation frameworks and automated test scripts for UI and API testing. Utilize automation tools to generate, manage, and validate complex test data. Log, track, and manage defects using Jira. Collaborate with Project Managers, IT Leads, Business Analysts, and technical stakeholders. Contribute to test effort estimation, test strategies, test plans, and execution reports. Support business acceptance and release readiness activities. Identify quality risks and provide recommendations supporting deployment decisions. Collaborate with Development, Architecture, and Infrastructure teams. Perform testing within Agile Scrum environments while following DevOps and CI/CD practices. Mentor and support QA team members on testing automation frameworks, tools, and best practices. Required Qualifications Experience Minimum 7 years of experience testing large-scale enterprise applications and distributed systems. Proven experience validating end-to-end business workflows across interconnected systems and enterprise programs. Extensive experience with APIs, web services, integrations, and database validation. Experience creating and executing test cases and test scripts for Functional and Systems Integration Testing. Experience working within Agile Scrum delivery environments. Automation Testing Advanced experience designing and implementing scalable, data-driven UI automation frameworks using: Selenium Playwright Ability to build automation frameworks from scratch. Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and enhancing automation suites. Strong programming skills using: Java Python JavaScript TypeScript API & Integration Testing Advanced experience with RESTful API and web service testing. Hands-on experience using: Postman REST Assured ReadyAPI Equivalent testing tools Experience with: API contract validation Backend integration testing Data reconciliation testing Enterprise integration testing Authentication & Security Testing Experience testing: OAuth JWT SAML Certificates Knowledge of authentication and authorization practices. Database Validation Experience validating: SQL databases Oracle MySQL Data integrity verification across integrated systems. Functional Testing Strong functional testing capabilities. Extensive defect management experience using Jira. Experience troubleshooting test environments and test data issues. Technical Knowledge Strong understanding of: RESTful and SOAP web services HTTP methods Status codes Headers XML JSON Messaging principles Expertise validating: Payloads Headers Authentication Status codes Backend integrations Experience with: Git GitHub Actions GitLab CI CI/CD practices Front-End Testing Extensive hands-on experience testing web applications across: Browsers Devices Screen sizes Strong proficiency in: HTML CSS JavaScript Healthcare Experience Strongly preferred: Hands-on experience with HL7 FHIR. Experience with HL7 v2 and/or HL7 v3. Preferred Qualifications Healthcare interoperability experience. Experience testing HL7 FHIR messages, profiles, resources, and data structures. Knowledge of Microsoft technologies such as: Power BI Dynamics 365 SharePoint Deliverables Manual test cases Automated test cases Automated test scripts Traceability Matrix Test Execution Reports Defect Reports Daily Testing Status Reports Weekly Testing Summary Reports Work Arrangement Hybrid work model. Onsite attendance may be required based on management discretion. Candidates must be able to work within Ontario.
