Requirements:
* Diploma at minimum, preferred degree directly related to Human Services
* Required 1 year of frontline human services experience, preferred 3 years of human services work related to working with families
* Proof of Membership in Professional Association (when applicable)
* Knowledge of parent/child relationships and family dynamics
* Basic First Aid Level C with Adult, Child, and infant CPR &AED
* Suicide Intervention Training & De-Escalation Training
* Intervention Record Check & Criminal Record Check with the vulnerable sector
* Class 5 driver’s license, clean drivers abstract and reliable vehicle for client transportation
* Knowledge of the Child, Youth and Family Enhancement Act
* Knowledge and experience within the Signs of Safety framework would be an asset
* Preferred experience in the CS System
* Knowledge and understanding of Indigenous Culture considered an asset Responsibilities include:
* Supervise Visits between children and biological family
* Youth Work and Engagement including connection with Natural Supports
* Connect Families with community supports, including family advocacy and support
* Support Cultural Engagement and Learning
* Family Assessment and Intervention
* Coaching/mentoring parents
* Life skills training
* Facilitating Case Conferences and Family Support Network Meetings Wage Range: $27.28/hr.
- $30.51/hr. Plus, Travel Reimbursement at $0.57/KM.
