Vice Principal

The Golden Hills School Division invites applications for a Vice P rincipal of Wheatland Elementary School , effective immediately. Strathmore is situated on the Trans Canada Highway, and only a 25-minute commute from Calgary. Teaching duties to be determined.

Wheatland Elementary School is a Kindergarten to Grade 6 school with approximately 220 students. Their Mission Statement is “Lead with confidence, Learn without limits, and Love who you are.”

Preference will be given to applicants with the following qualifications:

• Evidence of leading for learning and strong teaching skills
• Demonstrated leadership in promoting and implementing inclusive education practices across the school
• Positive interpersonal relations with staff, parents, and community members
• Evidence of ability to work effectively within a collaborative decision-making environment and to promote a positive culture
• Masters Degree in Educational Leadership (or equivalent) or evidence of progress towards a Masters Degree
• Supportive of direction from principal and desire to advance to this role
