Responsibilities:

Helping to maintain a safe and healthy workplace on the floor and in the
maintenance shop

Follow lock out procedure
Repair broken or defective machine parts, using welding and brazing tools
Align equipment by using specialized tools (e.g. micrometer, plumb bobs)
Disassemble machine parts and reassemble the parts using hand and power
tools

Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate
irregularities and malfunctions

Install, troubleshoot, and adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts
Service of mechanical / electrical / hydraulic / pneumatic equipment
Operate machine tools such as lathes, milling and drilling machines and grinders
to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or set-up of machinery

Read blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine work
procedures

Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery
Facility maintenance as needed
Any other reasonable requests or tasks as asked by Management
Temp to perm opportunity

Requirements

Qualifications:

Excellent English communication skills (oral and written)
5+ years related experience in a manufacturing/automotive environment
Mechanical / Electrical trade certificate and/or relevant graduated courses
Hands-on experience with machinery
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as a part of a team
Work well under pressure in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
