Job Overview:

Requirement/Must Have:
  • Diploma of College Studies (DCS) in mechanical, electronics or industrial engineering, or in industrial automation, or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a Quality or Engineering Technician, or in a similar quality control role.
  • Able to read and interpret technical specifications, including design drawings and schematics.
  • Basic design knowledge with either mechanical (SolidWorks, Ansys, etc.) or electrical (Altium, Eagle) design tools, an asset.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Able to work independently without supervision.
  • Proficiency in using measurement equipment, such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve quality-related issues.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Sheet suite.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform Quality Control Inspections: Conduct regular inspections on incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with established quality standards.
  • Testing and Analysis: Utilize various testing equipment, tools, and techniques to perform quality checks, measurements, and analysis of products or processes, and document results accurately.
  • Document and Report: Maintain detailed records of inspections, tests, and audits, documenting any non-conformities or deviations found.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and communicate findings to the relevant stakeholders.
  • Quality Documentation: Assist in the development and maintenance of quality documentation, including standard operating procedures, work instructions, and quality manuals.
  • Help prototype and validate electromechanical products and test fixtures, as per designs provided by the engineering team.
  • Execute Durability, Electrical and Functional Validation Testing Activities for component, module and system level testing of electronic products.
  • Execute test plans for all phases of product testing, using test scripts, test fixtures and manual testing, in collaboration with HW/SW design teams to support validation testing activities.
  • Manage Bill of Materials in the organization's PLM software (Arena).
  • Due to nature of job The candidate must have Ability to lift/move 50 lbs of equipment as required in a warehouse environment.
