Job Title: Senior Playwright Automation QA Engineer
Location: Toronto , Ontario
Duration: 6 Months
Introduction
We are seeking a highly skilled individual to join our team, where you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our web applications through advanced automation testing techniques.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Expertise in Playwright for web automation.
- Strong programming skills in JavaScript and TypeScript; familiarity with Python is a plus.
- Experience with BDD frameworks (e.g., Cucumber) and CICD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
- Solid understanding of QE principles, Agile methodologies, and SDLC.
- Hands-on experience with API testing, cross-browser testing, and performance testing.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve automation issues quickly.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in Java, Spring, Selenium, REST, API, Test planning, and Automation testing.
- Previous experience mentoring junior QE associates and contributing to knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Experience in optimizing automation frameworks for scalability and reusability.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright for web applications.
- Integrate automation scripts into CICD pipelines for continuous testing.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QE leads to define test strategies.
- Perform functional, regression, and end-to-end testing for complex workflows.
- Ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards.
