Hourly Pay Rate: 52 CAD
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Data Scientist with expertise in AWS cloud services and data engineering to join our team in Toronto. This hybrid role requires in-person presence at our Toronto office two days per week.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Working knowledge in designing and implementing data pipelines on cloud providers, preferably AWS.
- Proficiency in Python for data science and SQL.
- Experience with AWS services such as Glue, Lambda, Redshift, Athena, S3, EC2, IAM, and monitoring tools like AWS CloudWatch.
- Ability to integrate CI/CD pipelines and deploy changes to higher environments.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with other teams.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with scheduling frameworks like Airflow and AWS Step Functions.
- Familiarity with Google Data Engineering.
- Experience with data cleansing and validation.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Design and implement efficient data pipelines to handle large volumes of data from various sources.
- Perform data cleansing and validation tasks to ensure data quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-driven decision-making.
