work expands in the energy, industrial, and mining sectors, we’re seeking

As an Electrical Engineer at BBA’s Trail office, you’ll gain hands-on
experience across the full project lifecycle, from studies and detailed design
to on-site testing and commissioning. You’ll grow your technical and leadership

With us, you’ll get the opportunity to...
- Work collaboratively with clients, project managers, engineers, designers and drafters in the preparation of deliverables to BBA and client standards
- Establish client needs, prepare or review reports, estimates, specifications, quotations and proposals
- Prepare and review design deliverables
- Perform electrical calculations and studies
- Work with designers and drafters in the preparation of drawings to BBA and client standards
- Perform site inspections
- Perform testing and commissioning at client sites
- Create project scope of services, budgets and schedules
- Plan and monitor work assignments and costs
- Supervise the work of a team of 1 to 2 persons
- Communicate with the client on active and future projects

Overview of certifications and job requirements
- Electrical Engineering
Degree, or similar
- 5 to12 years of relevant
experience
- Eligible to register with
EGBC as a P.Eng.
- A valid class 5 BC
driver’s license
- Experience preparing and
reviewing technical documents such as reports, specifications, studies,
plans, and instructions
- Experience with design
deliverables such as single line diagrams, layouts, elevations, material
lists, cable and termination schedules, etc
- Experience preparing and
reviewing project estimates
- Familiarity with IEEE Color
Books, CEC and NEC
- Practical knowledge of HV
& MV substations including site layouts, reactive equipment, switching
equipment, grounding, shielding, power distribution and lighting
- Knowledge of HV/MV/LV
electrical equipment specifications, testing and commissioning
- Experience with projects in
the mining, industrial, and utility sectors
- Ability to travel on short
notice to customer sites and other BBA offices
- Experience in
troubleshooting, commissioning and system installation
- Excellent communication skills with high competency in English (both spoken and written)

base salary, based on 37.5 hours weekly, between $86,000-$118,300
