Condition Monitoring Technician, Mobile EquipmentLocation: Fort McMurray, ABEmployment Type: Full-Time, PermanentWork Schedule: 7x7 Shift Position ProfileWe are seeking a Condition Monitoring Technician, Mobile Equipment on behalf of our global client to play a key role in improving the reliability and performance of Caterpillar mining equipment. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you'll collaborate closely with site teams, remote CM specialists, and reliability engineers to enhance equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and strengthen maintenance decision-making.Why You'll Love This RoleCompetitive pay with annual bonus & regional allowanceBenefits starting day oneMatching pension & employee share purchase planGenerous vacation and strong recognition cultureWork with cutting-edge equipment, data tools, and reliability technologiesWhat You'll DoReview, interpret, and action Condition Monitoring recommendations from remote teamsValidate equipment issues using onsite inspections and data and escalate issues as neededTrack accepted, scheduled, and completed recommendations to support KPIsMaintain and prioritize a backlog of equipment deficiencies and work with planners to schedule maintenanceMonitor asset health, analyze inspection reports, failures and CM data, and support component decision-makingConduct onsite inspections, including magnetic plug checks, filter cut-outs, and oil samplesIdentify operational risks and opportunities for improvementCollaborate with customers, remote CM teams, and reliability engineersProvide fleet health reports and contribute to continuous improvementRecommend enhancements to data capture, workflows, and maintenance processesWhat You BringHeavy Duty Mechanic, Mechanical/Mining Engineering, or similar background5+ years of mechanical experience with mobile equipment (haul trucks, shovels, graders, dozers) Strong understanding of heavy equipment systems and component functionalityKnowledge of engines, powertrain, hydraulics, electronics, and telematicsKnowledge of Condition Monitoring data types and inspection practices along with fluid analysis interpretation and equipment lifecycle planningAbility to interpret technical data and correlate multiple data sourcesExperience with CAT dealers is an asset
