Become a Cloud-Based Backend Engineer with Affirm and transform the credit landscape. This remote role focuses on developing a pivotal lifecycle-orchestrator service interconnected with various platforms.
In this senior role at Affirm, you will play a critical part in evolving the Merchant & Partner Lifecycle (M&PL) team by designing solutions that significantly improve system efficiencies. Your responsibilities include guiding other engineers, executing technical strategies, and applying Domain-Driven Design principles. A solid foundation in backend systems and excellent communication skills are essential to succeed in cross-departmental collaborations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop scalable infrastructure for numerous global merchants
- Coordinate with other teams for project alignment
- Mentor engineers for skill development
- Partner with management to define technical vision
- Improve organizational engineering standards and processes
Requirements:
- 5+ years experience in backend software development
- Proficient in distributed systems and architectural impacts
- Skilled in AWS, gRPC, and database design
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Experience with alerting frameworks like Chronosphere and Kibana
